1942-1945. Five filled albums of tipped-in (mostly) gelatin silver prints, var. sm. sizes, nearly all photographs w. handwritten captions in French (most likely the same hand). Incl. topographical views, street views, photos of popular tourist sites as well as photos of native peoples and quite a few military related photographs. Photos of a.o.: (1) Nigeria (Ibadan, Zaria, a.o.). (2) Chad (Ati, Oum Hadjer, Abéché, a.o.). (3) Sudan (El Obeid, Barah, Khartoum, Meroë, a.o.). (4) Egypt (Aswan, Luxor, Thebes, Saqqara, Cairo, Port Said, Alexandria, Fayed, a.o.). (5) Palestine (Tel Aviv, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Haifa, Tiberias, Nazareth, Jericho, a.o.). (6) Lebanon (Beirut, Tripoli, Baalbeck, a.o.). (7) Syria (Damascus, Aleppo, a.o.).
