Overall good condition. *Following the Royal Gorge War, an intense conflict between railroad companies ensued. The Denver & Rio Grande was authorized to proceed with the construction of a railroad through the narrow canyon. This photograph by Jackson shows the railway line running alongside the Arkansas River.
