N.pl., n.publ., n.d., 6,(2 blank) p., loose, folio.
A bit frayed, w. folds and some browning/ foxing, 2 tiny tears repaired w. sellotape. Extremely rare, no copies in Karlsruher Virtueller Katalog or PiCarta. Landwehr, VOC 1016 (1 copy found in the National Archives, Archief Radermacher, 70), note: "Isaac van Schinne requesting to examine documents regarding the difference of opinion between him and Director General Cornelis Hasselaar." Possibly printed by a member of the Loderus family, see Smith Diehl, Printing in Batavia, p. 25: "Full printing responsibility in Batavia had been in the hands of the Loderus family from 1701 to 1743 - more than 4 decades (...)." Other possible printers are Engelbert Koning and Johannes van der Linden. The mentioned dispute between Van Schinne and Hasselaar deals with the purchase of tea and other traded goods, considered by Van Schinne to have reached overcharged margins in 1730-1731, as such becoming unprofitable for the VOC. Schinne also presents evidence and witnesses of corruption. Presumably, the accusations led to the demise and replacement of Hasselaar.
