Alba amicorum, lot of two with various contributions dated 1824-1853
The albums contain 13 drawings in var. techniques, 3 embroidered specimens, 1 "prikwerk" specimen, 9 specimens w. handwriting only and a number of unused blank lvs, both albums are book-shaped boxes, the oldest in fine gilt red mor., the other in richly blindst. purple mor., both w. gilt-lettered "Der Freundschaft geweiht" on spine, a.e.g. obl. 8vo size. The most notable contributions are: (1) A fine grisaille view of a city by Guillaume Pluijm, dated 1825, most likely the artist Willem Pluijm (1808-1847). (2) An embroidered specimen by A.B. van Meerten Schilperoort, dated Gouda, 1836, this must be the author Anna Barbara van Meerten Schilperoort (1778-1853). Some other names: Charlotte and Henriette le Boullenger (both contributions dated Amst., 1844), E.H.G. van Brienen van Ramerus (Ilpendam, 1824), J.A. van Brienen (Zwolle, 1839, a nice interior scene in pen and ink), A.P.H. Frantzen (Gouda, 1836), L. Nijhoff (Gouda, 1836), J.A. Tückermann (The Hague, 1824) and Charlotte Tückermann (1825).
