Frith travelled under conditions of considerable hardship, carrying a 16 x 20 inch plate camera and processing the plates in an unventilated tent. Incl. photos of a.o. Nazareth, Damascus, Jerusalem, Luxor, the sphinx and the pyramids at Giza and numerous other ancient Egyptian sites.
