Fine and detailed map of Eastern Brazil w. orientation west to the top of the chart, the interior is adorned with scenes of indigenous animals and natives, including cannibals. W. sm. inset map of All Saints Bay (see the following map) and Villa d'Olinda de Pernambuco. (2) Sinus omnium sanctoru(m). Engr. map w. handcol. borders, 39 x 510 cm, (Amst., P. Mortier, after 1670). Engr. map of All Saints' Bay, w. inset plan of San Salvador, cold. by hand. 390 x 510 mm. Cf. V.d. Krogt II, 9855:2.2 (Blaeu edition). Splitting on centre fold in lower blank margin, some wormholes in lower blank corners. (3) Mauritiopolis. Engr. perspective view of 'Mauritsstad' (now part of Recife), taken from Montanus's De Nieuwe en onbekende Weereld, Amst., 1671, 27 x 55 cm. Carefully restored copy, washed, re-margined at the right.
