The Blindman. No.1 and No.2, reprint

Ink on yellow newsprint, 27 x 19 cm, 8 pp. / 16 pp. Facsimile print of the first two issues of the avant garde periodical 'The Blindman', originally published in 1917 by Marcel Duchamp, Beatrice Wood and Henri Pierre Roché. Issue No.2 includes the famous photo of Duchamp's Fountain made by Alfred Stieglitz. Other contributors include Mina Loy, Erik Satie, Francis Picabia, Frances Simpson Stevens, Joseph Stella et al.
Produced as an artists' project by Crowner and the design and publishing collaborative Dexter Sinister for the Whitney Biennial 2008, in an unknown edition size. The copies were offered for sale at original cover prices (10 cents and 15 cents) via the front desks of the Whitney Museum and the Armory on 14 March 2008. They were also included in a travelling show 'For the blind man in the dark room looking for the black cat that isn't there' organized by the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis held in 2009-2010.
