Marcel Duchamp. Moulin a Cafe/ Coffee Mill, 1947

Original etching on Lana paper, impression 18 × 8 cm, sheet 25.7 x 20 cm. Signed in plate in lower edge ‘Marcel Duchamp’. Framed in passe-partout. Examined outside the frame. Etching and 1 cm around the etching are in excellent condition, the outer area is browned and has some staining, probably due to prior framing with acid board. 'Marcel Duchamp Eau-forte' printed on the back, as issued.

Duchamp etched this print after the same-titled oil painting made in 1911 for his brother, the sculptor Raymond Duchamp-Villon. Provenance: collection K. Schippers.
