The poster was designed and produced by Marcel Duchamp and Givaudan for the exhibition Ready-mades and Editions of and by Marcel Duchamp, held at the Givaudan Gallery from June 8 to September 30, 1967. The featured hand is Duchamp’s own, the smoke derives from (a picture of) George Brassens's pipe, the French singer-songwriter and poet.
