Bouzonnet Stella, Antoinette (1637-1676) after Giulio Romano (1499-1546)
L'entrée de l'empereur Sigismond a Mantouë. Paris, Joubert, n.d. (not before 1787), 25 numb. engr. plates (incl. the title), later gilt-lettered hcalf w. paper manuscript letterpiece "Jl. Romain", both sides w. much later oil-painted sketches of landscapes, large folio. Waterst. in lower half and more or less foxed throughout. Library or exhibition ticket on frontcover, spine-ends and outer corners of covers worn. A good, but also quite odd copy.
A later edition of this meticulous copy of the 60 metre-long stucco relief by Giulio Romano in the Sala degli stucchi, Palazzo del Tè, Mantua.
