Bloemaert, Abraham (1566-1651), after. Six etchings: (1) "Siet hoe de oude,

voelt het hoen, Een droge queen, wil oock wat doen." Engraving after Abraham Bloemaert, 16.7 x 11.8 cm, engr. caption, number 5, "A. Bloemert in." and "G. Valk excudit" in the plate. Good contemp. impression on paper w. unidentified watermark. Remargined at top margin, traces of former mounting at upper corners verso. A reversed version by Hendrick Bloemaert after a painting by Cornelis Bloemaert is also known. (2) "Mijn vogeltjens syn vlug, hierom moet ickse sluyten, Want beter twee daer in, als driemael twe daer buijten." Engraved copy in reverse, 16 x 11.7 cm, w. caption and "Frans Karels Exc." below the image in the plate. Good contemp. impression on paper w. unidentified watermark, with ample margins. Creased in left margin, a few (vague) folds. Very rare, the artist/ publisher not recorded by the RKD. Four additional similar plates (nos. 1, 2, 6 and 7 in the series), three of them w. the address of Valck; one of these (aside from no. 1) is also numb. '33' in the plate.
