Television and video gallery Gerry Schum

Ephemera from the groundbreaking tv and video production, distribution and exhibition venue in Germany in the early 1970s. (1) Land Art flyer Fernsehgalerie Schum, 29 x 21 cm, printed both sides. Announcement for the 38-minute tv broadcast aired on station Freies Berlin, 15 April 1969. Featured original works filmed in nature by Richard Long, Barry Flanagan, Dennis Oppenheim, Robert Smithson, Marinus Boezem, Jan Dibbets, Walter de Maria, and Michael Heizer. Rare document with light creases, else very good.

(2) Ger van Elk, Shaving a Cactus. Postcard announcement for a screening in the second tv broadcast series organized by Fernsehgalerie Schum titled 'Identifications' which aired on Südwestfunk Baden Baden on Nov 30 1970. (3) Klaus Rinke, Video-Action-Life. Exhibition card for the show at Videogalerie Schum in Düsseldorf, held from 6 to 12 Nov. 1971. (4) W. Knoebel, Videotape Projektion X 1972. Postcard for the show at Videogalerie Schum Dusseldorf in March 1972. (5) Information brochures about Videogalerie Schum, released in 1971. Includes information about the video systems and distribution, with programme and (price) list of available video works.
