Black metal token, Ø 5.8 cm, recto w. caricature of Clemenceau in the shape of a lion on a wall being hit by grenades and the mentioned text, verso w. caricature of Clemenceau surrounded by the text "Wie Clemenceau's Eroberungsgelust beantwortet wird. (2) Verdun 1917. Black metal token, Ø 5.7 cm, recto showing a skeleton leading a woman away, verso w. the text "Und ruhig fliesst der Rhein" below a caricatural composition incorporating the head of Clemenceau. -and 3 others similar by Goetz, incl. 2 variants of a token showing the sinking of the "Grossdampfer" Lusitania by a German submarine, w. date 5 May 1915 (the ship actually sunk on May 7, for this reason the medal caused a huge scandal in Great Britain and was reproduced there). Included in the lot is the top of a board box of the "Lusitania (German) Medal".
