The poster was designed and produced by Marcel Duchamp and Givaudan for the exhibition Ready-mades and Editions of and by Marcel Duchamp, held at the Givaudan Gallery from June 8 to September 30, 1967. The featured hand is Duchamp’s own, he added a superimposed image of the smoke coming out of the French singer and poet George Brassens's pipe. The poster with printed text exists in a regular edition of 400. This print is from the further edition of 100 numbered and signed copies without the printed text. Ref.
