Christo. Rare poster and catalogue Van Abbemuseum 1966

Both published in conjunction with the Christo exhibition 'Storefronts/Empaquetages/Volumen temporale' held from 6 May to 5 June 1966. (1) Colour offset printed poster, 87.5 x 61.5 cm. Designed by Wim T. Schippers, printed by De Jong & Co. Hilversum. Copy showing pinholes and regular signs of age and wear at all corners.

(2) Christo. Catalogue designed by Wim T. Schippers and Wim Wandel, with a signed text by Lawrence Alloway. Printed folder, 26 x 26 cm, containing 5 folded loose sheets with b/w images and drawings of installations, and two inserted blue sheets, 26 x 21.5 cm, featuring stencilled text by Alloway in English, hand-signed by the author in pen. Highly unusual, as other copies contain only a printed version of Alloway's text on brown paper in the same size as the folded sheets - possibly this is a first draft. Moderate creasing to front wrapper, interior very good.
