Londerseel, A. van (1572-1635). Complete set of personifications of the six planets and the moon

Seven engravings, all ca. 12 x 7.5 cm, after Jacob Matham (1571-1631), in his turn after Hendrick Goltzius (1558-1617), the first print signed "HGoltzius Inve." and w. address "Asuwerus Londerseel Excu." in the plate; numb. and titled (Saturnus, Jupiter, Mars, Sol, Venus, Mercurius and Luna) in the plates below the images, all mounted at upper corners under 1 passe-partout. Very fine impressions w. much contrast, thread margins, a few w. (partial) watermarks. Very rare. The prints differ only sl. from the series engraved by Matham, most notably in the captions.
