Cock, H. (1518-1570). Second view of the Forum of Nerva

Etching from the series of 25, incl. the title Praecipua Aliquot Romanae Antiquitatis (...), dep. Roman ruins, 23 x 33 cm, signed (in reverse) "H. Cock fe." and dated "1550" in lower margin, numb. X in upper r. corner and titled "Ex incertis quibusdam Ro. Antiquitates ruini, prospectus alter", mounted at upper corners under passe-partout. Very fine impression on paper w. globus cruciger watermark, with very wide margins (lower edge trimmed obliquely). Smoothed-out central vertical fold, old number 23 in pen in blank upper r. corner.
