Huchtenburg, J. van (1647-1733). (Chaotic battle between cavalries)

Engraving, 50 x 77 cm, after Adam Frans van der Meulen (1632-1690), signed in the plate w. the names of both artists below the dedication to Charles Honoré d'Albert duc de Chevreuse (1646-1712). Good impression on very heavy paper, trimmed on the borderline at the left and right. Foxed/ sl. browned, w. sm. closed tear and (vague) folds/ creases. A good copy for such a large print. Published by the Louvre, with the blindstamp "Calcographie du Louvre" in lower blank margin (cf. Lugt 1695). Added: 5 other engravings, incl. 3 large double-p. prints from an unidentified German language work on horsemanship (w. defects).
