Var. subjects and large sizes w. captions in pen, mounted on 32 board lvs, ca. 1890, orig. leather w. (defective) brass clasp, a.e.g., obl. folio (34.5 x 45 cm). Board lvs a bit occas. a bit foxed, album lacks spine, frontcover loosening, covers scratched/ rubbed and worn along extremities. Interesting collection of photographs, starting with a large photograph 28.2 x 39 cm showing the inauguration ceremony of the Barcelona Retrospectiva Exposicio Universal in 1888, followed by photographs reproducing Spanish paintings (partly by J. Laurent y Cia in Madrid), a photograph dep. a bullfight also by Laurent, photographs of Spanish harbours and (war)ships, fine and lively views of Barcelona, photographs of Dutch ships in Bermuda and Martinique, six important photographs dep. goldmining in Surinam, views of Trinidad, St. Kitts and St. Martin, views of Nyon, "Glacier du Rhône" (6x), La Furka, Brunnen, Hertenstein, Interlaken and Grindelwald, photographs of English warships (one of the moment a torpedo is fired) and views of Turkish places (8x signed Abdullah Frères in the image).
