Somewhat foxed, one pages is missing a small part of a blank margin. Good copy. The rare first edition of this classic in the field of ballooning. The frontispiece is plate 5: on copies of the first and second edition digitized by Google, this has also been engraved in the top right corner of the plate ("Planche 5"); this is not the case for our copy. A sequel was published in 1784, which is not present here.
