Clip album

with 5 original drawings and ca. 50 steel engravings, England, ca. 1830, nicely bound in full red morocco with blind-stamped and gilt sides, gilt spine titled "Scraps", all cuts plated, 4to.

Inserted in wrong direction (binding upside down when viewed); else with minimal defects. An original owner and friends made humorous notes on an endpaper near a piece of fabric originally pasted as a sort of relic in the album, but is now missing (names R. Greenhow, Elizabeth Hutchinson, Smith Pyne, Francis March and illegible, dated 1829) . Contains besides the steel engravings (various subjects) drawings in mixed technique of ships on a river with buildings in the background (both ca. 12 x 17 cm., 1x signed...) and 2 drawings in mixed technique of hounds, signed "A. East" (both 7.5 x 11.5 cm.).
