[Chinese export gouaches] Album with 24 pasted gouaches

on "pith" paper, all ca. 11 x 7.5 and 10 x 6 cm., the album of red half morocco with richly plated spine and plated front cover, all cuts plated, oblong folio.

Cardboard carriers and gouaches sl. foxed and the front cover has some worn spots. Nice album of these gouaches with their characteristic bright colours. Contains an interesting series of 7 opium-shoving men and women, several scenes probably related to the production of silk, and a series of 12 richly dressed men, women and children.
