[Bookbinding]

Two beautifully decorated bindings 'crimpson calf' dedicated to miss Sophia Enthoven, Rotterdam. The first binding was offered on 29 February 1856 by the Rotterdamsche Afdeeling van de Maatschappy tot Bevordering der Toonkunst. The second book was offered on 29 December 1856 by the Koninklijke Nederlandsche Yachtclub. Both books contain music sheets for singing and piano by Mendelssohn-Bartholy. The name Enthoven has been scratched off in both bindings.
