[Persecution of Jews] "Aan de leiders van de bureaux voor uitreiking der Jodensterren"

Typoscript stenciled note, 21.5 x 13.5 cm., with letterhead of the Joodsche Raad voor Amsterdam, dated 1 May '42, with signature of council chairman A. Asscher (?).

"Momenteel zijn er geen jodensterren meer in voorraad. Het is niet uitgesloten, dat deze nog zullen worden geleverd (...)." With: Voor Joden verboden. De procureur-generaal Fung. Gewestelijk Directeur van politie Feitsma. Letterpress cardboard sign, 19.6 x 29.4 cm.,with printed number "K 372" on recto, verso with stamp "Archief G.H. de Knegt" and pencil note "19 april 1944 A'dam Zuid" (drawing pin holes in corners, water stain). And with ca. 40 other original typoscript or printed documents, incl. documents of the Joodsche Raad van Amsterdam (including proofs of registration), an announcement from Rauter, documents of the "Zentralstelle für jüdische Auswanderung Amsterdam", documents concerning the forced resignation or the transfer of possessions of Jews, etc. An incredibly poignant archive that gives an insight into the horrible administrative systematics of the German persecution of Jews.
