[Peepshows] (Fencing scene)

Peepshow consisting of 6 hand-coloured, engraved panels each 9 x 14 cm., no address but probably Augsburg, M. Engelbrecht, ca. 1780, in later wrapper.

Without the wooden viewing-box (see lot 1742). Slightly soiled and there and there waterstained, the various layers of the panels loosening which has slightly jumbled up the many smaller details (possibly well-restorable). With another similar peepshow of a printing house of the same size (lacks 2 panels and else same defects as the former) (total 2).
