[Alba amicorum] Album amicorum with contributions dated 1822-1836,

with 18 handwritten contributions, mostly written in Leiden (several at The Hague), 5 drawn contributions and 4 embroidered contributions, ca. 30 blank sheets (each leaf with gilt edge), loose in original blue cardboard bookshaped box with bookbinder's label Gebroeders Abraham, Middelburg, in slipcase, 16.5 x 11 cm. (box damaged).

Contains for example: a gouache with cows and milkmaid in landscape by H.A.A. van Rijssen (1835); a gouache floral still life by L.G. de Peval; a drawing in pen and brown ink of strollers on a bridge by J.C. Hölscher; embroideries by members of the Krantz family; written contributions by L.C. and J.J. Krantz, P.H. Saaijmans Kader, H.J. Piepers, M. Verbrugge, J. Brouwer Starck, D. Merens, M.G. and P.F. Timmers Verhoeven, W.H. Cost Jordens, D. Epkema, A. van Valkenburg, E.G. Lagemans and F. Serrurier. With: a similar album amicorum with contributions dated 1840, incl. a lovely gouache city view signed P.D. van der Burgh (Pieter Daniel van der Burgh 1805-1879), contemporary blindstamped and gilt leather, 9.5 x 16.5 cm.
