"Wir kommen all' und gratulieren! Deine "Waldesruhler". Zur Heidehof am 30.11.39." Commemorative album with inserted title card and 156 photos of various sizes pasted with corners on 24 leaves, with inscriptions in white pen, bound in contemporary cord-bound cloth with title "Meine Zeit beim Arbeidsdienst" and the symbol of the service (shovel) on front board, 23 x 32 cm.

Lacks several photos, front board trifle scratched. On the reverse of the inserted title card a handwritten direction for whom the album was made: "Marten, Marten, gand Mann!" Arbeiterkolonie Heidehof (before 1939 Rickling) was situated at Flintbek, Schleswig-Holstein. The memorial album was apparently made to commemorate a group of women ("Belegschaft Waldesruh") stationed at the camp. It contains photos of the buildings and surroundings of various camps (Echteler, Emlichheim), "die Fürerinnen des Lagers", portraits of various women (with names and dates of birth, mostly with badge of the "Reichsarbeitsdienst Weibliche Jugend"), group portrait "Belegschaft Waldesruh" (personnel Waldesruh) and numerous happy snapshots taken at various (festive) events. One Gretchen Möller (17.3.22.) appears multiple times in the photos.
