(ca. 1850), with lithographed title in blue and gold, 24 tinted lithographic views of "chine-collé", original gilt-lettered boards with new leather spine, folio.

Title and all plates more or less foxed in margin, 1 plate also tanned in margin; rebound with new endpapers and back. With ex libris of the Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea Public Library, all plates with blindstamping of that library. Bound along: a series of 10 colour-printed and hand-finished colouring costume prints (numbered 1-10), also published by Bassy, ca. 1850 (same size and defects as the views). The composition of this kind of album may vary strongly, we found diverse, very different copies. The numbering of the views, then, does not run very smoothly. This copy contains views of Pau (3x), Eaux-Bonnes (6x), Eaux-Chaudes (4x), Cauterets (4x), Basses-Pyrénées (1x) and Hautes-Pyrénées (5x) and Haute-Garonne (1x). The costume prints are of Pau (3x), Basses-Pyrénées (3x), Pyrénées-Espagnoles (1x), Haute-Garonne & Hautes-Pyrénées (1x) and Hautes Pyrénées (2x).
