[Botany] Six various titles: (1) Flora Leidensis.

Sive elenchus plantarum spontanearum phanero-gamicarum, quae hucusque prope Lugd. batavorum repertae Sunt, secundum ordines naturales digestus. Scripserunt J.H. Molkenboer et C. Kerbert. Leiden, J.W. van Leeuwen, 1840, XXXII,389,(2) p., modern cardboard with paper letterpieces (very good, untrimmed and uncut copy).

(2) A.P. de Candolle's und K. Sprengel's Grundzüge der wissenschaftlichen Pflanzenkunde. Zu Vorlesungen. Mit acht Kufertafeln. Leipzig, C. Cnobloch, 1820, VIII,611 p., with 8 folding, engraved maps, contemporary halfcalf, spine gilt with morocco letterpiece. Collector's stamp/ annotations to title page; leather withered with consequent defects (e.g. spine head torn in). Stafleu & Cowan 992. First edition. The first three parts (Benennung der Organe, Theorie der Classification and Beschreibende Botanik) have been copied from De Candolle's "Théorie élémentaire de la Botanique". The rest of the book is by Sprengel, who published the whole in German. De Candolle did not like the book at all: "M. Sprengel, qui unissant dans l'ouvrage ses idées aux miennes, et dans le titre son nom au mien, en fit un livre vraiment absurde." And with 4 more, incl. a copy of the Flora Leidensis and a finely illustrated work on fungi. Added: "Flora Alpina", file with 24 loose leaves with dried plants with captions in pen (in poor condition). (total 7)
