Newer binding, 27.5 x 19.5 cm., green morocco, spine and boards with title, borders and floral ornaments in gilt-stamping, endpapers with floral ornaments and inside of front and back board with border and typographical ornaments in gilt-stamping.

Engraved frontispiece and the plates trifle trimmed; still with wide margins. Edges red. 151 (of 153) copper engravings depicting the life of Christ. Lacks plate 129 and 132. Ann. and bookplate to endpaper. The engravings after design by Martin de Vos and Bernardino Passeri; executed by Anton, Hieronymus and Johann Wierix, Charles de Mallery, Jean and Adrien Collaert. Engravings numbered and signed in the plate. Rebound without the text pages [(8),(4)] in a beautiful, early 20th-century green morocco binding. Spine with minimal traces of use. The washed engravings in very good condition.
