[Dordrecht] Genealogical notes related to several Dordrecht families

i.e. the following families: Mels(en), 1534-1712 and related families, also Guldehoff and Van Oosterwijk (1496-1672), Guldehoff, Deijlman(s) and Hellemont (1633-1708), Van Pijpen, Van Nievervaert etc. (last date mentioned is 1744), probably mostly annotated c. 1750 on 44 (partly blank) leaves, contemporary limp boards, 4to.

Spine worn; chintz paper across boards tender. Leaves 2verso-7recto, 11v-39r, 40v-41r and 44r are blank, several pages written with unrelated texts. On p. 1r has been written by a later relative: "Liber thematis Cornelis van Nievervaert anno 1797." Else the composition is as follows: 7v-11r: Annotations related to the Mels(en) family, originally from Sliedrecht, 1534-1712 and related families Clijser, Boenes, Willems and Ruyscher; 9v-11r: Annotations related to the family of Mels Gijsbertsz. (1595-1648), who in 1620 married Anneke Dirks Marijnusse, and their 12 children. Their 11th child was Margareta Mels (1641-1682), who played a leading role in the literary worlds of Rotterdam and Dordrecht. On leaf 11r two leaves affixed with pins with additions (1706 and 1711); 42v-43v: Annotations related to the family of Adriaan Mels (1636-1673), who in 1659 married Helena Deijlmans (died 1693). Their second daughter was Maria Mels (1661-1742) who married Martinus van Pijpen (son of Hendrik van Pijpen and Sara van Wageningen). Their second child was Hendrik van Pijpen (1698-1730), pharmacist/ physician; 44v: Annotations related to the family of Jan van Nieverwaert (son of Cornelis van Nieverwaert and Jacoba van der Mandele), who in 1733 married Maria van der Pijpen (1701-?). On 13 May 1736 their first child (of 4) was born, Cornelis van Nieverwaert.
