Four works: (1) P.C. Hooft. Dichtkunstige werken,

van wijlen den Heer Pieter C. Hooft (...). Eerst verzamelt en uytgegeven Jacob van der Burgh; en nu met verscheyde stukken verrijkt, nooit voor deezen zoo gedrukt. Amst., A. van den Heuvel, 1668, (6),420 pp., w. engr. frontisp. by "C.V.D.", contemp. overlapping vellum, sm. 8vo.
Frontisp. cut sl. short at upper margin; Lower pastedown detached from cover; upper joint splitting. A good copy, with owner's entry of J.F. Buisman and his annotation "Geschenk van J.H. van den Bosch. 1 Dec. 1928". Jan Hendrik van den Bosch (1862-1941) was a Dutch author. Also with loosely inserted bill by antiquarian bookseller B.M. Israël (Arnhem) filled out to Herman de la Fontaine Verwey in 1953 (1000 guilders). (2) Lukas Schermer. Poëzy. Haarlem, W. van Kessel, 1712, (24),535,(6) pp., w. engr. frontisp. and 20 plates, contemp. speckled calf, gilt and ribbed spine w. mor. letterpiece. Occ. minor internal defects. Edpapers renewed. An attractive copy with bookplate of C. Kruyskamp on upper pastedown. The first edition, published 1 year after the death of Schermer, who died at the age of 22. One of the fines illustrated works of the 18th century. (3) J. de Jongh. Post-comptoir van Cupido en Mercurius, uitleverende veelerlei voorschriften van brieven, uit beroemde schryveren in verscheide taalen getrokken, en tot algemeen nut in alle voorvallen en gelegenheden verzameld door Jacobus de Jongh. Hier is by gevoegt een bundel brieven over negotie en koophandel. Zesde druk. Amst., S. van Esveldt, n.d. (dated 1787 at the final page), (2),259,(1) p., contemp. marbled boards, sm. 8vo. Spine repaired with strip of tape. Extremely rare edition, apparently no copies in NCC (the digitized version available there). The University Library in Ghent preserves the only other copy we traced, they dated it at 1775 (the date at the end in their copy only partially printed "787". All editions are very rare. -and 1 other. (total 4)
