Paris, R.J. Julien, 1758, fully engraved and the (sub)maps with border staining, contemporary blue marbled cardboard sides, 4to.

Some submaps torn along middle fold, cardboard binding scratched along edges. Good copy. Extremely detailed complete wallchart of the Holy Roman Empire during the Seven Years' War or Third Silesian War (1756-1763). This war is considered the continuation of the War of the Austrian Succession. It was in fact a world war between Prussia, Great Britain and Hannover (the Allies) on one side, and the Russian Empire, Austria, Sweden, Saxony and France on the other. The atlas appears in different configurations. Our copy consists of a plain title, double-paged title cartouche, double-paged explanation of symbols/scale (to be split when set up as wallchart), overview map, 42 double-paged submaps and 6 single-paged submaps. Fully assembled, the map would be circa 200 x 225 cm. in size. Followed by another double-paged overview map of the Atlas Géographique [sic] et Militaire, a smaller double-paged map of the Théatre de la Guerre, a double-paged map of the siege of Chotzemitz and finally a double-paged overview map of Saxony and surrounding territories.
