Numerous wood engravings in the text and complete with 27 maps of the ancient world and 37 new maps, incl. 2 world maps (of which 1 folding) and a sea map of the world. The folding world map by Abraham Goos after Girolamo Porro. Spine with minor damage, boards and endpapers with wormholes, various text leaves with minimal wormhole, various (water) stains in the text; all maps in woodcut and in very good condition. Scarce.
