Antwerp, ex officina Plantiniana Balthasaris Moretim 1661, (1),3 leaves, with large folding, engraved plate by Richard Collin after Erasmus Quellinus with texts by Gevaerts, with 2 other, engraved plates (enlarged details of the folding plate), all edges gilt, contemporary halfleather, folio.

Poor copy, folding plate stained, with small holes and affixed to mount, as is the (torn) title; contents mostly loose. Leather on spine damaged. Landwehr, Splendid Ceremonies, 124; Funck 319; Hollstein IV, 218 - 33a. The only edition of this festive publication by Plantin/ Moretus, originating from the Treaty of the Pyrenees (1659) between Spain and France. Rare, no copies in PiCarta. Jan Caspar Gevaerts (1593-1666) was a philologist, poet (neo-Latin), lawyer, historican, diplomat and registrar of the city of Antwerp.
