late 18th cent., both covers w. central ornament and sm. stars withing a fine border, gilt spine w. 6 compartments (incl. title-compartment), gilt and gauffered edges, 2 silver clasps and catches, 14 x 9 x 2.5 cm.

A very attractive, superbly preserved binding with a good provenance: ex collection D. Luis Bardón, with a telegraphed receipt (for 500 pts.) dated 1975 and attached typescript description loosely inserted. The famous Librería Bardón in Madrid, was founded in 1947.
