Features travel writing about Japan by the French-Japanese author Kikou Yamata with drawings by the Parisian artist Léonard Foujita (AKA Tsuguharu Fujita). Browning to paper edges, some wear to original glassine cover, marginal crease in top right corner, generally a fine copy.
(2) Michel Georges-Michel, Les Montparnos. Paris, Fasquelle, 1929. Softcover with original glassine wrapper, 20 x 14 cm, 301 pp. Colour drawing by Foujita on front cover. The novel depicts the artistic buoyancy of the Montparnasse district at the beginning of the 20th century, seen from the perspective of the author, who was part of the Parisian scene gathered around Café de La Rotonde or the Dôme. Lavishly illustrated by various leading artists such as Man Ray, Picasso, Modigliani, Léger, Gris and Soutine. Protective wrapper with some wear, else a fine copy. Both books in French. (total 2)
