[Tokens] Stadhouder Willem IV van Oranje-Nassau. Four silver tokens

(1) Inauguration of Willem IV as Baron of Breda, 1737. Silver, Ø4 cm, weight ca. 33.5 gr. Recto showing Willem IV and his wife Anna of Hannover in a parade float pulled by a lion and a unicorn (symbols of The Netherlands and England) and the arms of Breda, below the text "Virtus et Fama Trumphant", above "Inauguratio Bredae XII: Sept. 1737" and the signature of the medalist N. van Swinderen (1705-1760). Verso w. the arms of the Dutch and English royal houses, surrounded by the text "Wilh. Car. Henr. Fris/ Princ. Aur. et Anna Mag. Britt." (2) Visit to Haarlem 12 Mai 1747. Silver, Ø 3.3 cm, weight 10 gr., recto by G. Marshoorn w. bust of Willem Karel Hendrik Friso to the right surrounded by text indicating his status, verso the text 'Voor Haarlems Burgery. Die Frizo. Vrij en bly. Stadhouder van ons land. ontving met hart in hand'. Token awarded to the Haarlem Militia, thanking them for their services during the entrance. (3-4) Two similar silver tokens: a "strooipenning" by N. van Swinderen on occasion of the inauguration of Willem IV as Marquess of Vlissingen and Veere, 1751 (distributed among the citizens by Willem IV himself from the townhall in Veere), and a sl. larger token on the Death of Willem IV, also 1751.
