(1) "Logica dictata a R. Patre Meurice scripta a Petro Lecandele 1738". Manuscr. title within engr. border, 513 pages of manuscr. text, ending with "Finis impositus à 28 martii 1738". Engr. frontisp. "La Logique" and 10 portraits of Porphyrius, Plato, Thomas Aquinas a.o. Two other plates bound in, contemp. calf, gilt and ribbed spine, 4to (sm. imperfections). Bound with: (2) "Logica dictata a Reverendis patribus Boûchez et Penít anno 1738." Manuscr. title within engr. border of portraits of Plato, Thomas of Aquino, Aristoteles, Pythagoras, Seneca, Epicurus, Socrates, Diogenes, Porphyrius and Erasmus, 317 p. of manuscr. text, ending w. the same words and exact date as the first part, w. engr. frontisp. dep. St. Catherine, an engr. portrait of Cicero and 4 other plates. The convolute starts w. a printed quire (cut sl. short) w. letterpress title-p. Sodales Mariani Apud pp. Societatis Jesu in Collegio Aquicinctino, Douay, A. Tossanus, 1737 and printed lists of "Physici Scholae Inferioris/ Superioris" (2 p.) and "Logici Scholae Inferioris/ Superioris" (4 p.), the latter of which incl. the name, the author. At the end of the convolute are 2 fold. letterpress lvs published in Douay 1737-38: "Conclusiones Logicae" (...), Praeside R. P. Henrico Meurice, è Societate Jesu (...) Duaci Dom Petrus Josephus Decandele [sic] Antverpiensis" and a similar leaf "Philophia Rationalis". -and a similar manuscr. volume originating w. gilt-lettered "Metaphysica 1704" on spine, w. the same engr. title (not filled-out) and 2 fold. letterpress tables "Philosophia Transnaturalis" (torn) and "Philosophia Universa", both dated Douay, 1704. The second table lists the name of Jacobus Xaverius Goos from Antwerp, a small, loosly inserted note shows that he is the writer of this volume, dated 1703. Both tables and the note mention Guilielmo le Vaillant as supervising professor.
