5 volumes in two bindings of this first edition of the famous biography of Turenne by Ramsay. Turenne was a captain in the army of Frederick Henry of Orange and finally marshal of France. According to Napoleon, Turenne's "campagnes" ought to be studied in great detail, as they were unequalled during the 17th century.
Bindings scratched, inside very good. Engravings in strong and clear prints.
