[Peepshows] (Adam and Eve at the apple tree)

Peepshow consisting of 6 hand-coloured, engraved panels by C.P. Maj, each panel 7.5 x 9.5 cm., Augsburg, M. Engelbrecht, ca. 1780, in later wrapper.

Without the wooden viewing-box (see lot 1742). Slightly soiled and the various layers of the panels loosening, else good. Panel 5 with the address of Engelbrecht, panel 6 with the printed name of the engraver. With another similar peepshow of a view of Venice (lacks 1 panel and else same defects as the former (total 2).
