Extraordinary archive with handwritten application letters and assessment forms filled in by hand with questions about character, sense of duty, diligence, civilisation, behaviour, attitude and appearance, theoretical and practical skills, etc. Remarks on the original folders about the age and possible children, "even voldoende", "niet aan te bevelen", "voldoende geschikt, evenwel eenigszins slordig en vergeetachtig" and "goed aan te bevelen".
