-Tijdschrift voor Letteren en Schoone kunsten. Rare Dutch artist periodical, tied to surrealism. Edited by Vancrevel and herman de vries. Published in Arnhem by M. Israel, 12 volumes (1963-1968) in a small edition of ca. 150. Striking handmade covers, staplebound, first two issues 21 x 15 cm, later ones 29.5 x 21 cm. Features stencilled and original contributions by writers and artists such as herman de vries, Stanley Brouwn, Freddy de Vree, J.C. van Schagen et al. Stanley Brouwn contributed a poem to PTL No.1 (Berekening/Calculation) and an original pasted in autumn leaf to PTL No.2 (Herfstbrouwn). There are several original paperworks/collages by Herman de Vries throughout the series. Beautiful rare set of the first series. -

Stanley Brouwn, contributions to Spiraal and Tongoni, 1957- 1959
-In 1957 Stanley Brouwn moved to Amsterdam from Paramaribo (Surinam), aged 22. The same year his first ever published work appeared in Spiraal No.1 (Harry Ruhé, Stanley Brouwn: A Chronology). Brouwn contributed several poems and drawings to the first fives issues of the Amsterdam based literary and graphic periodical. Included in this lot are issues 1, 2, 3 and 5. -

-Purple/pink silk-tissue paper with rubberstamp and lemon spot, 37 x 30 cm. Rubberstamped 'BROUWN lemonspot' at the top. Produced by the artist for the portfolio 'Figur 1' by Galerie Patio in Frankfurt in a limited edition of 100 of which 30 were handsigned artists' proofs. This is one of the 30 signed copies, signed in pen in lower right corner. In mint state.-

Stanley Brouwn, Potentiële beginpunten (Potential starting points), undated ca. 1969
-White envelope, 15 x 23 cm, with green stamp 'potentiële beginpunten THIS WAY BROUWN'. Includes a Dutch tv guide (Tros Kompas) from 3-10 May 1969, 19 x 13 cm, with an inserted Brouwn text between pages 84 and 85. Added are 4 sheets of white paper, 17 x 10.5 cm (2 loose, one folded). The sheets are blank except for the third sheet which features a stamp identical to the one on the envelope. The insert is marked with a green paper circle (possibly as issued, but could have been added by the former owner as a note). Slight creases on edges of envelope, minimal wear on cover of Tros Kompas, Brouwn insert is mint. -
